Reason for the Run:
Englewood Community Development Corporation (ECDC), has a history of working to strengthen the quality of life for our neighbors on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. This focus has been maintained by offering quality, affordable housing to our diverse neighbors, such as low-income families, the formerly homeless, and those who live with mental illness. Daily, we learn how to better care for our neighbors. This has led us to host an annual 5 mile run/walk with the proceeds going towards rental scholarships for our neighbors who need assistance as they work to provide themselves and their families with a permanent, healthy, stable home.

Registration Price: $25 before June 15th
Team Registration Price: $20 before June 15th
   (Teams must have at least 5 members and register under the same team name to get the discount -- Teams can only pay by check).
Late Registration: $30 after June 15th, including race day
*T-shirt guaranteed only to those who register before June 15th

Childcare: will be provided by Hazelwood Christian Church from 8AM to 10AM. There will be activities & a snack provided for your children, if you would like for Hazelwood to watch your child(children) while you participate in the Pogue's Run 5 Mile Run/Walk please let Tracy Taylor know by calling (317) 205-6197 or emailing tracynicoletaylor [ at ]g m a i l [dot]com.

5 Mile Race Rules & Guidelines

  • All participants must sign a waiver of liability
  • Runners need to maintain a pace of 15 minutes per mile. Anyone not maintaining this pace will be asked to use the sidewalk and follow all traffic signals.
  • Strollers allowed
  • We reserve the right to delay, reschedule or cancel the race due to extreme or severe weather conditions. NO REFUNDS
  • If you do not indicate a shirt size, you will be given an XL. No exchanges.

There will also be post -race festivities including food and beverages , games, and fun for adults and children

Waiver and Release:

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Pogue's, related events and activities. I acknowledge, appreciate and agree that:

Running and walking a road race is a potentially hazardous activity and the risk of injury does exist. I should not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks both known and unknown even if arising from the negligence of the releasees of others and assume full responsibility for my participation. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If however I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence of participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless Englewood Community Development Corporation and Englewood Christian Church. With respect to all injury, disability, death or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the releases or otherwise. I further grant full permission to the above mentioned organizers, and/or agents authorized by them to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or other record of the event for any reasonable purpose. I have read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement and fully understand its terms and understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it. I signed it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
